A Christmas Carol (2009)QuickRating: As magical, darkly funny and edifying as its source material, but a bit too creepy and disturbing for younger kids, "A Christmas Carol" is a decently-crafted adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel, elevated by Kim Carrey's perky, vigorous voice work, but let down by its gloomy, unpolished and surprisingly unspectacular visuals.
